For a "short business or weekend stay", this recently renovated 1920s hotel "close to the White House" and the metro is "great for business travelers" who appreciate the kit of sleep aids, and a good choice for solo females who "love" the "secure" Women's Floor; but the "perfectly adequate" rooms remain a little "small", there are "long waits" for valet parking and "no free Internet access."

The staff was so helpful!

Everyone was so helpful at the hotel. I checked in late at night and really wanted a bottle of water. When I asked if the vending machines sold water, the front desk attendant told me that they had been having issues with their vending machines so he asked how many bottles I would like, then he comped them and had them sent up to my room so that I could get settled in and get some sleep.
